A funeral luncheon is an important tradition and Mulberry House, located in Westfield, NJ, offers a stress-free location to host your friends and family. In our restored Victorian home, your guests will have a private location to eat and share memories.
Mulberry House is available for your family with 48-hours’ notice and can accommodate up to 55 guests. We host luncheons Tuesday – Friday at our restaurant. Please call us at 908-233-3562 to discuss your needs.
Setup
Leave it all to us. Our private events include a setup of white table clothes, colored napkins and our signature flowerpot tea arrangements for each table.
Funeral Luncheon Cuisine
Mulberry House serves English-style tea cuisine along with classic lunch and brunch options such as roasted chicken or salmon, tea sandwiches, quiches, scrambled eggs, pasta, roasted potatoes and vegetables, along with your choice of our homemade sweets and scones.
Beverages
Mulberry House is a “bring your own” restaurant. Feel free to bring your own selection of alcoholic drinks, and we will provide all of the non-alcoholic juices, sodas, tea, and coffee.
Capacity
To reserve the entire upstairs for your luncheon (recommended), we request a minimum of 30 guests. The maximum capacity for the upstairs area is 55 guests. For smaller luncheons, our 1st-floor white room is available, with a minimum of 18 guests and a maximum of 24 guests.

Pricing
Our menus start at $28 per person and run up to $40 per person, plus tax & 20% gratuity.
Off-Site Funeral Luncheon Catering
Mulberry House can also bring food directly to you at a venue of your choice, or your home. Servers arrive one hour before the event begins to set up food tables, and include the use of our beautiful tea stands and tea pots.

English Tea Buffet
An English tea-inspired buffet that includes your choice of 3 options of tea, soup or salad, 3 assorted scones with jam & clotted cream, 4 tea sandwiches, 2 quiche and 3 options from our tea cakes & sweets.
Brunch Buffet
Mixed green salad, fruit salad, eggs, home fries, bacon OR sausage, silver dollar pancakes (plain and a choice of filling: banana, blueberry or strawberry) and a choice of scones or sweets.
Lunch Buffet
Includes rolls, mixed green salad, roasted potatoes, seasonal vegetables and a selection of entrees and fruit salad.
